Job description

Role Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to support financial operations across multiple drilling projects and corporate functions. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards. You’ll work closely with operations, project managers, and leadership to provide financial visibility into project performance and overall company health. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Monitor project-based costs, track budgets, and analyze variances Assist with financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements Manage accounts payable and receivable processes Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, and internal controls Collaborate with operations teams to track drilling project expenses and allocations Support external audits and provide required documentation Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of accounting experience (energy, construction, or project-based industries is a plus) Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS) Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling basics) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
